THE FILM

Against all odds seven amputee veterans take on the ultimate challenge of climbing the highest mountain on every continent, the Seven Summits.

The Heroes Project Feature Documentary is an inspiring story about strength, resilience, the human spirit and the ability to triumph over the impossible. It weaves together the story of seven men, all single or double amputees, who served their country with honor.  Faced with catastrophic injuries these ordinary young men attempt the extraordinary – to climb the highest mountains of every continent in the world.

For these seven, facing a challenge that demands something deeply human in themselves, what motivates and inspires them on this heroic journey of recovery?

THE CREW

Tim Medvetz
Tim Medvetz Producer, Founder of The Heroes Project
Tim Medvetz, producer, is a lifelong wanderer and nomad, natural extreme athlete and a former member of the notorious Hell’s Angels. In 2001 he was racing his motorcycle through the San Fernando Valley when he was hit by a truck in a catastrophic accident that left him physically devastated, partially paralyzed and fighting for his life.

After undergoing numerous surgeries to save his foot, repair the knee, back and skull, he was not expected to ever walk again or fully recover. Tim did not accept this fate and swore to regain his body functionality and get his life back. He summited the Mount Everest as a part of his own recovery and then decided to motivate other people to do similarly.

In 2009, Tim founded The Heroes Project, a foundation dedicated to raising funds to help more wounded warriors climb the world’s highest peaks and renew their purpose and self-assurance.
